Meet Leslie Salinas, APRN, FNP-C
Leslie Salinas was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in a large, close-knit Hispanic family where caring for others was a way of life. She enjoyed looking after many of her younger cousins, an experience that sparked a deep and lasting passion for nurturing children. This passion ultimately guided her decision to pursue nursing, with a clear goal of specializing in pediatrics.
Over the past nine years, she has devoted her career to caring for children with both acute and chronic illnesses. As an emergency pediatric nurse, she found it profoundly rewarding to witness a child’s journey from a critical condition to recovery, made possible through dedicated medical care and comprehensive treatment plans. These experiences inspired her to continue advancing her education and pursue a master’s degree in nursing, with the goal of contributing more fully to the development of treatment plans, family education and ongoing support.
For her, the resilience, courage and joy of the children she cares for—reflected in their smiles and laughter—remain the driving force behind her commitment to pediatric nursing.
Leslie is married and has two children of her own. She enjoys Pilates, yoga and trying new restaurants.
