At CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, Dr. Lucia Ridlen-Gonzalez provides compassionate family medicine care for patients ages 18 and older in New Braunfels. She believes that care goes beyond diagnosis and takes the time to listen to your experiences and concerns, ensuring you feel empowered to take an active role in your health.

With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Ridlen-Gonzalez emphasizes a holistic approach that addresses not only medical needs but also long-term wellness. She specializes in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure while also providing preventive care, annual wellness exams and patient education.

Dr. Ridlen-Gonzalez's journey in medicine began at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and later completed her family medicine residency at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. During her training, she focused on holistic care and community health education, particularly in the areas of hypertension, diabetes, and ob.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Ridlen-Gonzalez is passionate about keeping medicine inclusive and serving diverse communities. Outside the clinic, she enjoys travelling, hiking and gardening.
