About

Maria Criss-Lampton is a licensed social worker with more than six years of experience assisting clients in outpatient and inpatient community settings. She helps her patients develop coping mechanisms to address life’s challenges. Maria received her undergraduate degree in social work at Stephen F. Austin University and continued her education at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she received her master’s degree in social work. In addition, she serves as a board member for The Youth Keepers of America.

As a clinician, Maria uses her knowledge and abilities to assess, diagnose, and treat behavioral, mental, and emotional disorders. This includes treating mental illness and emotional disturbances in adults, adolescents, and children. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is one of Maria’s preferred clinical treatment modalities, which can be used both individually and in groups.
