Meet Michelle Cecchini, MD

Dr. Michelle Cecchini is a compassionate and highly skilled neurosurgeon who specializes in the surgical treatment of brain and spine disorders. She is passionate about providing exceptional, patient-centered care and helping people return to the lives they love. Originally from Chicago, Dr. Cecchini graduated Summa Cum Laude in biology from the University of Illinois and earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College. She went on to complete her neurosurgery training at the University of Washington in Seattle, one of the nation’s leading academic centers. During her time at the University of Washington, Dr. Cecchini spent more than three years performing complex surgeries for brain and spine tumors, degenerative spine disease, hydrocephalus, and congenital disorders of the nervous system. She also enjoyed teaching and mentoring young surgeons as Director of Resident Education Courses and Associate Program Director. After relocating to San Antonio with her family through the U.S. Army, Dr. Cecchini has continued her commitment to excellence in neurosurgery. She now serves as the Director of the Gamma Knife Program at Methodist Hospital, where she provides state-of-the-art radiosurgical care for brain tumors and vascular conditions. Dr. Cecchini is proud to bring her expertise and warmth to the communities of San Antonio. She believes in combining advanced technology with genuine compassion to ensure every patient receives the best possible care.
