Meet Olamide Omidele, MD
Dr. Olamide Omidele works as a urologic oncologist, specializing in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted procedures for prostate, kidney, and bladder disorders. He was born in Nigeria, and grew up in Katy, Texas before obtaining an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Columbia University. He then went on to complete medical school and residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. He completed his fellowship in robotic oncology at Houston Methodist Hospital. He believes in a patient-centered model, where the role of the physician is to provide expertise to support the patient in making an informed decision.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Omidele is a prolific researcher, having authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, contributed to landmark textbooks in urology, and has served as an invited speaker at international conferences across North America and Europe. His research focuses on health equity in urological care, surgical innovation, and the development of advanced diagnostic tools that improve early detection and treatment of urological cancers. He has been a co-investigator on numerous clinical trials pertaining to urologic cancers and champions bringing these trials to populations of patients that may have limited access to healthcare resources.
