Meet Oscar Gonzalez, MD

At CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, Oscar Gonzalez, MD, brings a passion for patient-focused care and years of experience in family medicine to the Marshall community. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he fosters an environment where patients feel not only listened to but valued. With each visit, he builds a relationship based on respect, trust and collaboration to ensure your health goals are met and decisions are made as a team.

Driven by his desire to help his community, he began his medical journey with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Woman’s University. He went on to pursue a Master of Science in Cancer Biology from UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he has participated in multiple presentations sharing findings and research around the US. His passion for science and educating others led him down the path of becoming an instructor at colleges, including Brightwood, Mountain View, and Brown Mackie, where he was able to inspire the same passion for science in others.

With the skills and experience he developed over the years, Dr. Gonzales pursued his doctorate at UT Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine in Edinburg, TX. He completed a residency at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program. He is board-certified by the American Association of Family Physicians.

He is excited to continue to exemplify CHRISTUS values and mission to deliver compassionate and high-quality care to patients and families in Marshall. During his spare time, he enjoys traveling and attending festivals in the community.
