Meet Rachel Cuenca, MD

Dr. Rachel Cuenca says she finds nothing more rewarding than taking care of children and developing relationships with their families. Dr. Cuenca spent 21 years in the U.S. Army as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon stationed in Honolulu, HI, and most recently at Brooke Army Medical Center.

Dr. Cuenca received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame on an ROTC scholarship. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine through of the military's Healthcare Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP).  She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Walter Reed Military Medical Center and completed pediatric fellowship training at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH.

Her professional interests include scoliosis, lower extremity deformity and pediatric and adolescent sports medicine. 

In her spare time, Dr. Cuenca enjoys spending time with her son and cooking.
