Meet Rafael Coutin, MD

Dr. Rafael Coutin was born in Baracoa, Oriente Cuba. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he was a Morehead Scholarship recipient and a Phi Beta Kappa. He also received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina. He completed his Internship at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas, and his Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1982.
