Meet Rebecca Bentley, APRN, FNP-C

Compassionate Primary Care and Global Health Leadership for East Texas Families

Rebecca Bentley is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who brings over two decades of clinical expertise to CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. A graduate of the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham and Vanderbilt University, Rebecca has spent her career "climbing the ladder" of patient care—from the bedside as a nursing assistant to providing advanced diagnostic care as an APRN. Deeply rooted in the Mount Vernon and Winnsboro communities, she serves not only as a primary care provider but also as a youth leader at First Baptist Church. Her local commitment is matched only by her global heart, having spent years leading medical missions to underserved regions in Uganda and Haiti to provide life-saving care.

  • 23+ Years of Nursing Excellence: A comprehensive career trajectory spanning from CNA and ICU Trauma RN to Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • Elite Clinical Training: Completed over 530 supervised clinical hours across primary care, pediatrics, and women’s health.
  • Global Humanitarian: Leader of multiple medical missions to Uganda (2023–2025) and Haiti, treating high-acuity conditions in extreme environments.
  • Specialized Certifications: Certified DOT Medical Examiner and authorized provider of USCIS Immigration Physicals.
  • Academic Honors: Graduated Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University and maintained a 3.81 GPA during her Master’s at UAB.

What You Can Expect from Care with Rebecca Bentley

Rebecca believes that "health and healing" are best achieved when patients are empowered through education. Her philosophy is of a personalized partnership where questions are encouraged and health literacy is a priority. You can expect:

  • A Collaborative Partnership: You are an active participant in your treatment plan, not just a recipient of care.
  • Evidence-Based Education: Detailed explanations of your health conditions to give you the confidence to manage your wellness.
  • Culturally Attuned Care: Respectful, timely, and compassionate communication, with Spanish-speaking services available.
  • A Whole-Body Approach: Treatment that considers your physical, social, and emotional well-being.

Research, Clinical Insight, and Thought Leadership

With a Master of Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham—one of the nation’s top-ranked nursing programs—Rebecca integrates the latest peer-reviewed clinical research into her rural practice. Her background in a Level II Trauma Center and her experience as a school nurse for 1,200 students provide her with a unique clinical perspective that bridges the gap between emergency intervention and long-term community health trends.

Commitment to Public Health and Health Equity

Rebecca is a fierce advocate for health equity, both in rural Texas and abroad. From her work with the South Bay Mobile Medical Clinic serving homeless and migrant populations in California to her ongoing missions with Master Cares Uganda, she focuses on removing barriers to care. Her practice in Mount Vernon is specifically designed to address the health care disparities often found in rural settings, ensuring that high-quality, specialized medicine is accessible to every neighbor, regardless of their background.
