Meet Richard Noel, MD, PhD

With an early interest in medicine, Dr. Richard Noel developed a specific focus on diseases of the pediatric gastrointestinal (GI) tract. His expertise centers on pediatric feeding, a developmental process that requires the acquisition of increasingly complex skills across different ages. When this process is disrupted in early childhood, it can lead to pediatric feeding disorders that encompass issues such as malnutrition, medical illnesses, oromotor deficits, and behavioral barriers, each of which may necessitate targeted interventions by specialized professionals.

With over two decades of experience at leading institutions, Dr. Noel is committed to leveraging his expertise in pediatric gastroenterology to enhance the care provided by CHRISTUS Children’s and the physicians with Baylor College of Medicine. He is dedicated to serving the children of San Antonio and South Texas with comprehensive, multidisciplinary care.
