Sara Maguina, DO, is a dedicated and compassionate internal medicine physician joining CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. With a solid commitment to fostering meaningful patient relationships, Dr. Maguina empowers her patients to actively manage their well-being through education and support for healthy lifestyle choices.

Dr. Maguina is fluent in both English and Spanish, a skill that allows her to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population. This ensures that all individuals, regardless of their language, receive the care and attention they deserve. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry and Spanish, from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. Continuing her education, she received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV.

Dr. Maguina completed her Internal Medicine Residency at UT Health East Tyler Hospital, where she honed her skills in managing a variety of conditions. Her clinical focus includes diabetes mellitus, hypertension, obesity, preventive screenings, thyroid disease, musculoskeletal problems, and mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. This breadth of focus ensures she is well-equipped to address various health concerns.

Outside her medical practice, Dr. Maguina enjoys baking healthy desserts, spending quality time with her family, engaging in art and crafting, and traveling to natural and scenic destinations. Her holistic approach to health and well-being reflects her passion for medicine and the arts, making her a well-rounded physician dedicated to the health of her patients and the community.
