Meet Satish Chandrasekhar, MD

Dr. Satish H. Chandrasekhar is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that helps patients return to the activities they love. He completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis, earning dual degrees in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering with Magna Cum Laude honors. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where he served as class treasurer and contributed to medical mission work in the Dominican Republic.

Dr. Chandrasekhar completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Central Florida–HCA GME Consortium in Ocala, Florida, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident and helped shape the program as a member of its inaugural class. He furthered his expertise through a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at the prestigious Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans.

Throughout his training, Dr. Chandrasekhar has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, research, and service. He chaired multiple advisory councils, contributed to national orthopedic societies, and presented research at regional and national conferences. His scholarly work includes publications in the Journal of Vascular Surgery and research on hip fracture outcomes and ACL bracing in high-risk athletes.

Dr. Chandrasekhar is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA).
