Meet Sebastian Villarreal, MD

Dr. Sebastian Juan Villarreal is a board-certified neurosurgeon fully trained to treat complex disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine and completed his neurosurgical residency training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston McGovern Medical School. A proud San Antonio native, Dr. Villarreal graduated from MacArthur High School before attending The University of the Incarnate Word, where he met his wife, Danielle. They now share a son, Sebastian. After completing his training, Dr. Villarreal returned home to San Antonio to join the team at Texas Neurosurgical Spine in 2018. Deeply committed to serving his community, he considers San Antonio both his home and the place where he can best use his skills to make a difference. Dr. Villarreal is passionate about advancing neurosurgical care and staying at the forefront of evidence-based medicine. He has extensive experience in treating both brain and spine conditions using the latest minimally invasive and microsurgical techniques. Outside the operating room, Dr. Villarreal enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and cheering for his favorite San Antonio sports teams.
