Meet Shana Turbyfill, FNP-C

Shana Turbyfill, FNP, is a nationally certified family nurse practitioner at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic. She cares for patients 2 years old and up in the Emory community and surrounding areas.

Shana earned her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing there in 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas Permian Basin. Shana is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Her patient care approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity and connection. She advocates for every one of her patients, asks thoughtful questions and believes that it’s vital to understand the “why” of the symptoms.  Shana’s philosophy is a “whole person” approach, which means not only helping patients manage health concerns, but also navigating complex health care systems like patient assistance programs to ensure that cost is never a barrier to better health. Whether it’s preventative care and sick visits or chronic disease management and metabolic health, your family is cared for. She is looking forward to being an advocate for her patients in Emory.

When she is not caring for patients, you’ll find her chasing sunshine with her husband and six kids. Shana is proudly entering the grandparent era with three (and counting!) grandbabies. She loves spending time at the lake, exploring the outdoors, and traveling to places with delicious food and breathtaking views.
