Meet Shannon Humphrey, CPNP-PC

Shannon Humphrey, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, has been a nurse since 2013, spending the first seven years of her career as a bedside nurse in the CHRISTUS Children's Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. In 2021, she became an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and spent three-and-a-half years in pediatric primary care. When an opporunity to work in the Neurosciences Center at CHRISTUS Children's came up, she jumped at the chance to serve children with special needs. She works each day to expand her knowledge and contribute to the well-being of children and their families.

Her areas of professional interest include neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, ketogenic diet and intellectual disability.

Shannon has five sons - one with autism and intellectual disability. She loves volunteering for an organization called CAMP. She also enjoys music and dancing.
