Meet Shelby Spenrath, DO

Shelby Spenrath, DO, is a compassionate, board-certified family medicine and obstetrics clinician at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in Corpus Christi, TX. Whether it’s newborns, adolescents, or adult patients, Dr. Spenrath excels at caring for the health of her patients in any phase of life. 

Dr. Spenrath began her health care career by earning her Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology at Schreiner University in Kerrville, TX. She went on to complete her Master of Biomedical Sciences at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX, and later achieved her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the University of the Incarnate Word College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency and obstetrics fellowship at CHRISTUS Spohn/Texas A&M. Her patient approach is rooted in the 3 C’s: continuity care, compassion, and connection. By following these three C’s, she can gain context and clarity on her patients, leading to a more personalized treatment plan and care. Dr. Spenrath is committed to building long-term relationships with the patients in Corpus Christi, TX, and the surrounding areas. As a family medicine and obstetrics clinician, she provides comprehensive care, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, maternity care, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.

When she's not caring for patients, she is preparing for her annual half-marathon run, doing yoga, continuing her medical education, and enjoying the great outdoors with her sweet adventure cat.
