Dr. Stinson, a San Antonio native, received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed a sports medicine fellowship under the direction of Dr. Jesse DeLee.
Specializing in the treatment of sports injuries in adolescents and young adults, Dr. Stinson's desire is to ensure children and teens have the opportunity to participate in athletics and do so in a safe and healthy manner. He promotes the implementation of injury prevention efforts and utilizes a conservative approach in managing injuries; however, when necessary, Dr. Stinson utilizes the most advanced open and arthroscopic surgical techniques. Dr. Stinson remains up to date in treatment and surgical innovations through his involvement with the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Society for Sports Medicine.
