Our Approach

While it’s important to practice social distancing to limit risk of COVID-19 exposure, we want to know you can be confident in seeking the care you need, especially in an emergency. We remain a safe place to receive quality care and, while COVID-19 is new, our processes for preventing the spread of illness are not.

Do not ignore or delay care for signs of stroke, heart attack, COPD and other urgent health conditions.

Want to skip the waiting room? We’re now offering a drive-through ER at our NorthPark location. Simply drive up – you’ll be greeted by medical staff and may even be able to receive care in your car.

In the event of an emergency please dial 9-1-1, or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

CHRISTUS Good Shepherd - Longview is a Level III Trauma Center as designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and verified by the American College of Surgeons’ Committee on Trauma (ACSCOT).

Patients with conditions determined to be non-immediate, based on objective clinical criteria, may be referred to alternate care providers such as a primary care physician, an urgent care center or a family health clinic for treatment after an appropriate medical screening.
