In 2026, CHRISTUS Health will open the doors to the new CHRISTUS Health cancer center in Longview, a state-of-the-art facility designed to expand and enhance the cancer care currently offered at our clinic.

Once open, all services at this location will transition to the new cancer center, bringing you even more advanced capabilities under one roof. You can expect the same compassionate care, now with added services like radiation oncology, cancer research, and expanded supportive care programs. This new center represents our ongoing commitment to providing expert, innovative cancer care, right here in East Texas.

CHRISTUS Cancer Clinic treats a wide range of hematologic and oncologic conditions.

This includes:

  • Blood cancers such as lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
  • Solid tumors including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, gastrointestinal, and skin cancers. Treatment plans are personalized and led by board-certified hematologist/oncologists and board-certified radiation oncologists.

A cancer diagnosis referral from your provider is preferred, but not always required. Our patient navigators can help determine the best way for you to connect with a provider.

How long does a typical infusion appointment take? 

Infusion therapy appointments vary depending on the type of treatment you’re receiving. Most sessions last between 30 minutes to several hours. Your care team will explain what to expect before your first visit, including how long your infusion will take and any side effects to watch for. You’ll be cared for in a comfortable setting by oncology-trained nurses who monitor you throughout the process.

Will services move to the new cancer center once it's open? 

Yes, all services currently offered at the CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Hospital – Northpark will transition to the new, expansive CHRISTUS Cancer Center when it opens in 2026. The new cancer center will also provide expanded space and services, including:

  • Radiation oncology
  • Cancer research
  • Expanded supportive care programs
