A doula is a trained, non‑medical professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after labor. Many families find that having a doula helps them feel more supported, informed, and at ease throughout the birthing experience.
At CHRISTUS in Santa Fe, we welcome trained doulas and recognize the valuable role they can play in supporting you and your family during labor and delivery. To help ensure a safe, comfortable, and personalized experience, doulas who follow CHRISTUS guidelines are permitted to be present during labor and delivery.
