Amanda Burkhalter joined CHRISTUS Children’s and Baylor College of Medicine as a certified pediatric nurse practitioner in primary and acute care. She brings many years of neurosurgery experience to the Neurosciences Center. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in our outpatient clinics. She also completed a pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at Miami Children's Hospital. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine. Dr. Camacho is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a Fellow of Critical Care of Medicine, and a Fellow of American Chest College Physicians.
