Our Forensic Nurse Examiners provide compassionate care in a reassuring, calm environment separate from the Emergency Department. Forensic Nurse Examiners are experienced Registered Nurses (RN) whom undergo extensive specialized training provided by the state and collect evidence for survivors of violent acts.
The only program of its kind in the area, our Forensic Nurse Examiner Program in Beaumont provides compassionate care and timely evidence collection for survivors of violent acts such as: sexual assault; child and elder abuse; domestic violence, and other crimes. Forensic Nurse Examiners are experienced Registered Nurses (RN) that undergo extensive specialized training provided by the State of Texas Office of the Attorney General to enable them to assist law enforcement agencies in the evaluation and examination of victims of violence.
Our Forensic Nurse Examiners offer patients a reassuring, calm environment in which they can be heard and seen, separate from the main Emergency Department. The program at CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth has received and helped patients transferred from other medical facilities throughout the area and made a significant contribution to the efforts of law enforcement.
