The Women's Center Birth Experience
CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic is proud to deliver at The Women's Center at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos. We know the birth of your child is one of the most miraculous moments your family will ever experience. With this in mind, The Women’s Center has been specially designed to provide you and your family with an exceptional birthing experience in a spa-like atmosphere.
For infants who may come a little early or require special care, The Women's Center has a state-of-the-art Level II NICU to provide for your infant’s needs. We have an in-house neonatologist to care for your infant(s) during your stay who will then transfer care of your newborn to the physician of your choice upon discharge. Mothers whose infants have to stay in the hospital after mom has been discharged are offered a guest room and three meals a day to remain close to their infants during this time.
Learn what to expect during your childbirth and how you and your partner can get ready by attending the Gift of Motherhood Childbirth Classes offered by The Women’s Center. You should attend classes after your 28th week of pregnancy. Topics include: your pregnant body, stages of labor, support person’s role, comfort and coping skills (including breathing techniques, water therapy, movement in labor, birthing ball), medical interventions, medications in labor, cesarean section, your newborn, postpartum and breastfeeding.
The Women’s Center is currently leading the nation in patient satisfaction scores. For several rating periods in a row, CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos has placed among the top 1% of hospitals in the nation. We sincerely hope your stay with us is of equal quality.
Gynecological Care and Surgeries
Our providers are experienced in providing gynecological care throughout a woman’s lifetime. We offer basic gynecological services, such as routine pap smears, as well as gynecological surgery. When you are facing surgery, the technology that will be used is not usually the first thing you think about–you are more concerned with a quick recovery, with as little pain as possible, and getting back to normal life!
With the da Vinci Surgical System, surgeons operate through just a few small incisions. The da Vinci System features a magnified 3D high-definition vision system and tiny wrist instruments that bend and rotate far greater than the human hand. As a result, da Vinci enables your surgeon to operate with enhanced vision, precision and control.
The da Vinci System represents the latest in surgical and robotics technologies. Your surgeon is 100% in control of the da Vinci System at all times. da Vinci technology translates your surgeon’s hand movements into smaller, precise movements of tiny instruments inside your body.

We at CHRISTUS Health value your health and safety. Consistent with recommendations from the CDC and the Texas Medical Board, we are requiring all patients, visitors and employees to wear a mask while within our facilities. Masks are not advised for children under age 2. Please bring your mask from home with you to your appointment. Any double layered cloth mask covering your nose and mouth is appropriate for visiting our clinics as long as it does not have an exhalation valve. If you cannot come alone to your appointment, please bring no more than 1 essential visitor with you.
If you are ill with fever and cough or shortness of breath, please contact your clinician's office for instructions before coming into the clinic. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you. These measures are just a few steps we are taking to ensure to provide you and all others a safe environment.
