Meet Shawn Funk, MD

Dr. Shawn Funk serves as the Medical Director of the Scoliosis and Spinal Deformity Program at CHRISTUS Children's. He attended the University of Texas – Houston Medical School and completed his residency in orthopedics at Vanderbilt University. He completed his training at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas studying pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis. Dr. Funk has published research on scoliosis and the evolution of spine implants for deformity correction. He loves taking care of children and working with families to understand treatment options, so together they can make the best treatment choice for their child.
