Dr. Koeck is a board-certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon. He is originally from the Texas Hill Country, but he has called San Antonio home since 2002. He treats all musculoskeletal conditions in children, but he has a special interest in spinal deformities. He is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, and he has served as an expert witness to the Texas Senate Health Services Committee advocating for school scoliosis screening legislation.
Dr. Koeck started his career with UT Health San Antonio where he served as an assistant professor teaching orthopedic residents. He then spent over 10 years as the owner of a successful private practice in San Antonio. He joined CHRISTUS Children's full time in 2020. Texas Monthly Magazine and Scene in San Antonio frequently have named Dr. Koeck as a Top Doctor in his field.
Dr. Koeck enjoys working with children. This is evident in his involvement in scouting and volunteer coaching YMCA athletic teams over the last 10 years. He truly enjoys visiting with his patients. He strives to ease his patient’s anxiety and connects with them on an age-appropriate level. He is committed to providing excellent cutting-edge orthopedic care to his patients in an environment of shared decision making and compassion.

Waiting an hour could have been eased if the doctor merely communicated he was reading thru records..also why beat up the patient/parent about seeing the “wrong doctor” when your own staff vetted the case months prior to visit?
