Jaylie Buckner, FNP-C, provides compassionate cardiovascular care, coordinating and educating patients. She enjoys working with individuals managing hypertension, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation and helps guide them through their care plans while collaborating closely with the clinical team. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, earned Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Letourneau University where she graduated Cum Laude and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is accredited by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Since 2021, she has served as an ER nurse at CHRISTUS St. Michael in Atlanta, Texas, where she received the Rookie Nurse of the Year award. She has also supported the Telemetry and Medical Surgical units and serves on the unit-based quality improvement council while helping train new graduate nurses. She focuses on early recognition of cardiac risk factors, timely communication with the care team and thorough patient education. She is committed to helping patients understand their health and stay engaged in their long-term goals. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Lee her family and friends and her two dogs Ellie and Gauge and two cats Marshall and Miss Kitty. She loves being outdoors, traveling, cooking, hunting and fishing and exercising.
