Meet John Evans, DO

John Evans, DO, is a primary care sports medicine physician in Tyler, Texas, caring for patients aged 6 years and older. He specializes in return-to-sports care, concussions, joint injections, tendinopathy and osteoarthritis. With a personalized approach to care, Dr. Evans works closely with each patient to develop a treatment plan that supports long-term healing and active living.

Dr. Evans received his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Logan, UT, following his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Rocky Vista University in Ivins, UT. He then completed his Family Medicine residency from the University of Texas Health Science Center, and his Sports Medicine fellowship at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.

Dr. Evans’ greatest accomplishment is being a loving husband and father to two daughters. When not at the office, he enjoys time outdoors with his family, is a strategy board game enthusiast and sports fan.
