Cardiac Rehabilitation

To help speed your recovery and reduce your chances of future heart problems, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth & St. Mary have developed a comprehensive program of cardiac rehabilitation and patient education, including Phase I, which begins while patients are still in our Beaumont or Port Arthur hospitals. The first Shared Care Site for advanced heart failure patients who have a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), our top medical facilities means cardiac patients have access to the most extensive care available.

For Phase II and III cardiac patients, the outpatient facility is conveniently located just across from our Beaumont medical center's main campus. The program is the only one in the area that is certified through the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). The state-of-the-art facility is designed to help heart patients return to normal activity through prescribed exercise supervised by trained fitness professionals, nutrition and education, and features a fully equipped exercise room.

The CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Center serves the needs of individuals both in-hospital and out-patient and is the only program in the region certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Cardiac Rehabilitation PHASE I (Inpatient).

We also offer rehabilitation for longer-term cardiac and related-illness care at our specialty hospitals, CHRISTUS Dubuis St. Elizabeth and Kate Dishman Rehabilitation Hospital.
