Meet Your Treatment Team
The medical director provides physician management related to rehabilitation services. Patients’ personal physicians are continually updated regarding therapy goals and progress.
The Neuro-IFRAH Trained Physical Therapists work with the patient to reach his or her highest level of functioning through specialized exercise programs for increasing strength, coordination, balance and endurance. Walking, operating a wheelchair and transferring may be important components of the physical therapy program.
The Neuro-IFRAH, Kinseo Tape Certified occupational therapist facilitates the patient in becoming more independent in the activities of daily living which include: dressing, eating, writing, toileting, cooking and grooming. To achieve independence, the therapist works to increase strength, endurance, coordination and balance.
The speech therapist is DPNS, Vital Stem and LSVT LOUD certified and specializes in treatment for swallowing and communication problems such as speaking, reading, writing and understanding the speech of others.
The ACLS trained nurse monitors the patient’s status and notifies the physician of any change in a patient’s condition. We also provide education about medication, safety, and other health related issues.
Our team is trained to provide customized WHEELCHAIR EVALUATIONS for power and manual mobility. Upon physician referral, an individual is evaluated by either an occupational or physical therapist to determine the appropriate mobility and seating/positioning equipment to optimize function. We also offer a PRE-DRIVING ASSESSMENT that assists physicians in determining an individual’s ability to safely return to driving after a serious illness or injury.
