She joined CHRISTUS Health as an employed physician for physicians’ practices, where she has established a busy practice at Journey to Wellness. Now she is excited about her latest venture as Site Director because she brings over 20 years of experience to the CHRISTUS Health Family Medicine Residency Program and academic medicine gives her the opportunity to teach our future doctors.
Dr. Ortega is married with 3 children. She enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with friends and family. She teaches a variety of classes at her church and regularly participates in local outreach as well as international missions.
