Christopher Bielefeldt brings over 25 years of healthcare experience, with a strong focus on laboratory and research operations. He holds a master’s in Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Medical Laboratory Science.
As System Executive Director, Christopher oversees laboratory and research operations across CHRISTUS Health and serves as the Institutional Official for the CHRISTUS Institutional Review Board. Christopher is an accomplished executive leader in laboratory and research operations with extensive experience in clinical and anatomic pathology, clinical research oversight, and scientific governance. He has served as Principal Investigator on numerous laboratory-based research projects, driving innovation and ensuring rigorous scientific standards. He has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to advancing clinical research and excellence, safeguarding patient safety, and facilitating improved patient outcomes. Christopher brings a proven track record of fostering collaborative research environments, implementing best practices in compliance and ethics, and supporting initiatives that translate scientific discovery into meaningful clinical impact.
Outside of work, Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife, Maria, and their four children and is passionate about weight training and personal fitness.
