Services

Achilles Tendon Repair

The Achilles tendon is a tough fibrous cord that brings the muscles in the back of your calf to your heel bone together. When you over exert this tendon through physical activity, it can tear or rupture fully or partially.

Ankle Arthritis

Arthritis is most commonly known as joint inflammation which involves swelling in and around your joints. The condition can involve severe or long-lasting inflammation. Arthritis can reside in the ankle causing a reduction in movement and function.

Ankle Sprains

An ankle sprain is one of the most common orthopedic injuries. Sprained ankles can happen when you are participating in physical fitness activities or by simply stepping on pavement that is not leveled.

Bone Spurs

Bone spurs are a result of damage to the joints which is usually associated with the presence of osteoarthritis. A majority of bone spurs come with no symptoms and go unnoticed for a number of years. Sometimes treatment isn’t needed at all. However, Most bone spurs cause no symptoms and can go undetected for years. They might not require treatment. Depending on where the spurs are located in your body and how it is affecting your health, treatment will be determined if needed.

Bunions

A bunion can show up as a bony bump on the joint of your big toe. Bunions can occur when the bones in the front part of your foot shift out of place. In this moment, the tip of your big toe is getting pulled closer to your smaller toes thus forcing the joint that makes up the base of your biggest toe to poke out. Bunions can also be a result of the shape of your foot, a deformity of the foot, or even a medical condition known as arthritis.

Claw & Hammer Toes

Both claw toes and hammer toes are conditions that affect the various secondary toes of the feet. When the smaller digits of the foot coil downward they create a claw-like shape. Hammer toes are a condition that bends the middle toe joint down towards the floor, which cause this joint to spring up. A hammer toe usually affects the second toe and is often a result of that comes with experiencing a bunion.

Fractures

A fracture is a broken bone. It is a condition that can happen to an individual after experiencing a traumatic, painful injury. When a bone is fractured, the shape of the bone is manipulated by the break. Fractures can happen straight across the bone affected or alongside the actual length of it. The result of a fracture breaks a bone in two or leaves it in multiple pieces.

Ligament Tears

Ligaments are strong fibrous tissues that bring bone together. Ligaments are very robust. They can be overextended or even ripped. When a tear occurs, it is usually because of direct force to a joint such as a misstep on an uneven surface or other form of excessive physical activity.

Peroneal Tendon Tear

The muscles that are brought together by the outer side of your calf and foot are known as your peroneal tendon. These tendons are susceptible to inflammation or tears. Peroneal tendon tears are usually the result of two problems with the tendon: blood supply and the close positioning between the two tendons.

Plantar Fasciitis

The plantar fascia is a fibrous band that runs lengthwise along the bottom of the foot from the heel to the ball of the foot. The plantar fascia supports the longitudinal arch and is essential for toe-off, the part of a person’s stride where the toe pushes off the ground. Inflammation of this structure is called plantar (bottom of the foot) fasciitis.

Ankle Replacement

Our patients that suffer from severe ankle arthritis can benefit from ankle replacement surgery. Common symptoms that are associated with ankle arthritis can include weakness, pain and difficulty walking.
