Get Sports Injury Care Where You Play
When an athlete gets hurt during a game or community event, getting answers quickly can help determine what comes next.
The CHRISTUS Mobile Athletic Training Room brings sports medicine clinicians and athletic trainers to select athletic and community events across East Texas. The mobile space gives athletes a place for on-site evaluation and treatment without first leaving the event.
Whether you are a student athlete, parent or coach, you can get help understanding the injury and the next step toward recovery.
Athletic Training That Comes to the Sideline
An injury can change a game in seconds. You want to know what happened and what your athlete needs next.
The Mobile Athletic Training Room functions as an on-site clinic at select events. Athletic trainers from the CHRISTUS Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute help evaluate athletes and provide treatment when appropriate.
The unit can support:
- On-site injury evaluation
- X-rays
- Casting
- Splinting
- Suturing
- Taping
These resources give the sports medicine team more information at the event and can help determine the athlete's next step.
Know What to Do After an Injury
You may not know how serious an injury is when it happens.
Having sports medicine support at the event can help provide answers sooner. The Mobile Athletic Training Room includes X-ray capability in addition to space for evaluation and treatment.
If additional treatment is needed, the program connects naturally with CHRISTUS sports medicine services in East Texas. The existing mobile unit page directs patients to the CHRISTUS Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute locations in Tyler and Longview.
From the Sideline to Your Next Step
Your support does not have to end when the game does.
Sports medicine can help you recover, rebuild strength and work toward returning to the activities you enjoy. Existing CHRISTUS sports rehabilitation content includes athletic trainers, sports injury rehabilitation and additional support for athletes.
