Five Common Gynecologic Cancers

Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancer is commonly found in women between the ages of 35 and 44. However, we encourage women to get their annual pap smears starting at 21.  

Uterine Cancer

Uterine (endometrial) cancer mainly affects post-menopausal women and is typically found in the layer of cells that make up the lining of the uterus. 

Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian cancer is a type of female reproductive cancer of abnormal growth of cells in the ovaries. Older women are more likely to develop this type of cancer. 

Vaginal Cancer

Vaginal cancer is a rare form of cancer that develops in women over 60. This type of cancer grows on the muscular tube that connects your uterus to your outer genitals.

Vulvar Cancer

Vulvar cancer is another uncommon cancer affecting nearly 6% of a women's reproductive system. The outer surfaces of the female genitalia are affected by this type of cancer.
