Certifications

Nusing Certifications CelebrationCHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System provides substantial support for the development and advancement of professional nurses. CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances recognizes and rewards professional nursing certification with a one-time bonus of $1,000 for the successful completion of their first professional nursing certification obtained while employed at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances. In 2016, the Nursing Education and Professional Development Council successfully proposed, passed, and implemented a change in the Certification Reward Program. Nurses may now apply to receive half of the $1,000 ($500) prior to beginning their certification preparation and the other $500 is received upon completion. Certified Nurses are recognized through celebratory announcements and photos in the Monthly Nursing News newsletter, on the organizational Education Services Department Facebook page, through badge recognition, and publication of the nurse's name on a wall plaque in their unit.

Academic Partners

CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System has partnerships with several academic institutions and universities that offer bridge programs for nurses, online courses, and tuition discounts to help encourage RNs to return to school to further their education. Also, to encourage other Associates to seek out a Nursing Degree. This information and more is made easily available through the academic partnerships which was formed with academic institutions. Since 2013, the Education Services Department has secured agreements with multiple colleges and universities to provide concierge service and tuition discounts for its nurses and other Associates.
