Our Approach

Autism Evaluation

If your child needs a diagnosis of Autism or needs a diagnosis verified, we offer a multidisciplinary autism evaluation which is a four to eight-hour, full evaluation. This consists of evaluations by neurodevelopmental pediatrics, neuropsychology, audiology, social work, speech/language pathology, and occupational therapy.

To schedule an evaluation, please ask your child’s primary physician to fax a referral to 210.704.4952 with attention to Autism Clinic: Needs Formal Diagnosis.

Autism Behavior Management/Treatment

The Children's Hospital of San Antonio's Comprehensive Autism Program has partnered with the Autism Treatment Center and UTSA's Department of Educational Psychology to bring the gold standard treatment for Autism, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy, to children with Autism. This collaboration survives on grant funding and is allowing us to decrease the wait times between diagnosis of autism and beginning treatment while training new ABA therapists and doing high-quality research. Children who receive a diagnosis of autism at The Children's Hospital of San Antonio are able to be placed into this clinic. Due to our current funding, this clinic is currently not open to the general public, but we hope this may change in the future.
