Our Approach

The Complex Care Clinic provides a multidisciplinary approach to meet the needs of children who suffer from complex medical problems. Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians and social workers work together to assure patients and families have access to medical care and all necessary resources to achieve optimal health and comfort.

Target patient population

We serve children with complex chronic medical conditions that are expected to last at least 12 months, involve several organ systems or one organ system severely enough to require multi-specialty pediatric care and care planning.

The clinic treats the following conditions:

  • Complex genetic conditions
  • Technology dependence, including mechanical ventilation
  • Complex NICU discharges
  • Profound neurological impairments
  • Catastrophic traumatic brain injury

We will also collaborate with subspecialists to identify children in their clinics with non-curable illnesses who are suffering by not having their health care needs met.
