How to Book A Vaccine Appointment Through Christy, Your Virtual Assistant

CHRISTUS Family Medicine – Alexandria has begun accepting appointments to vaccinate Phase 1B recipients. As our hospital continues to care for patients with COVID and other medical needs, we will be offering this vaccination only at this clinic, as they are better prepared to provide this type of care to large groups of the public.

Please note, an online appointment is required to receive the vaccine. CHRISTUS clinics and urgent cares are not scheduling any appointments via phone or in-person. All appointment requests for the vaccine will need to follow the process below.

If you’ve registered for a COVID-19 vaccine online, dose #1 and dose #2 have been reserved for you at the time of your scheduled appointment.

Below is the process to book your vaccine appointment with Christy.

1

Open the yellow chat bubble on the right-hand side of this page

You will be prompted to answer a few screening questions, which determine your eligibility, prior to finding the location nearest you and scheduling an appointment, if available.

2

Determine Eligibility

Click “yes” in the chat box on the right-hand side of the page to connect with Christy, your virtual assistant.

Christy will ask you a few questions to ensure that you are eligible for the vaccine.

3

Schedule an Appointment

If you qualify for the vaccine, Christy will find the CHRISTUS community location nearest to your zip code.

4

Complete Registration

Fill out all patient information and confirm your appointment date, time and community partner location.

Please note that you can select "no insurance" when completing your registration.  Our community vaccination hub clinics are free.

CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Health System announced a partnership with Rapides Regional Medical Center, the City of Alexandria, and the City of Pineville, to open two new Community Outreach COVID vaccine clinics. By expanding the reach of available vaccine doses in Central Louisiana, the clinics provide access to more eligible citizens wanting a COVID vaccination.

We understand you have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine, so we have answered some of your most frequently asked ones.

COVID-19 Safety in Our Facilities

The safety of our patients, Associates and physicians is our top priority. That’s why we successfully practice infection prevention every day. To keep all who enter our facilities safe during COVID-19 we have added the following precautions:

  • Limiting visitors
  • Screening everyone who comes through our doors
  • Random temperature checks for Associates
  • Requiring everyone on our campuses to wear masks
  • Using telemedicine to treat active COVID-19 patients, so their caregivers and support staff limit the number of times they enter their rooms

We’re in this Together

This may be an unprecedented time, but we have experienced many of these since CHRISTUS was founded 154 years ago. In fact, the first three Sisters who started our ministry in Galveston faced an epidemic of Yellow Fever within the first six months of opening the very first hospital.

Epidemics and tragedies have been part of our history, and so too has the resolve, after each of those challenges, to move on in love and service to those in need. We stand today in a rich history that gives us confidence that, with God’s help, we can do the same.

We are answering the call to help our community – today and tomorrow. In all that we do, we are devoted to keeping you, your families, our caregivers and our Associates safe. And we are here when you need care. We are ready.

Emergency Care

Emergency Care

While COVID-19 is new, our processes and procedures in place for infection prevention and preventing the spread of illness are not. CHRISTUS Health's Emergency Departments are equipped to safely provide care for life-threatening illness and injury – and seeking that care is essential. Do not postpone seeking care if you are urgently ill.  Go to the Emergency Department or call 9-1-1.
