CHRISTUS Health would like to thank all of our patients, their families, local business owners and leaders in the communities we serve for their support during our negotiations with Cigna. We realize this situation caused concern, and we are thankful for a resolution that allows us to continue to provide care close to home for all those who need high quality, compassionate care. Family Medicine Residency Program

The CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program strives to be the premier program with the courage to foster the consummate Family Physician by modeling excellence in an atmosphere of professionalism, lifelong learning, and integrity.

Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship

The fellowship is rich in event experience, with all levels of high school, Division I, II, and III universities, and professional teams to medically cover. We are also involved with annual events such as Ballet San Antonio, the Valero Texas Open, and the San Antonio Rock n' Roll Marathon. San Antonio often hosts a number of NCAA events, and our program is always involved in the medical care of the visiting teams.

PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program - The Children's Hospital of San Antonio

The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program is based on our institution’s mission statement “to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.” With this faith based principle our residents will be given a foundation for the development of a strong work ethic and will have delivery of patient-centered care as their constant motivation.

PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program - Westover Hills

The new PGY-1 residency at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa - Westover Hills is designed to provide a wide range of clinical experiences with a focus on inpatient acute care in a community hospital setting. The resident will work both independently and with multi-disciplinary teams to develop strong clinical and leadership skills. The goal of the residency program is to develop the clinician to have well-rounded pharmacy practice knowledge in order to practice independently in a hospital setting for a variety of patient populations and/or for prerequisite training for a PGY-2 residency program.

Clinical Pastoral Education

The Clinical Pastoral Education program prepares theologically trained ministers for clinical chaplaincy in health, church, and community ministries in accordance with the mission, core values, and vision of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System.
