Program Mission

Mission Statement

The CHRISTUS Health Sports Medicine Fellowship mission is to provide a high-quality and supportive learning environment for sports and exercise-related injuries across a wide spectrum of patient and sporting levels, in a multi-specialty health care network with a long history of faith-based, non-profit health care.

The Program Aims To:

  • Develop evidence-based clinical skills necessary to diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions in a variety of age groups.
  • Develop evidence-based clinical skills required to diagnose and manage acute and chronic non-musculoskeletal sports medicine conditions in athletes across a variety of age groups.
  • Provide a learning environment for Fellows' procedural techniques related to orthopedics and sports medicine.
