We are the community’s first hospital to receive the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Mission: Lifeline Heart Attack Receiving Center Accreditation. We also have received the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certification. (AACVPR). We meet and exceed quality of care measures for our patients from people who experience the most severe types of heart attack to those seeking education and prevention to diagnostics, advanced treatments, and cardiac rehabilitation. Advanced Cardiovascular Surgical Procedures

Our expert providers are board certified in cardiology and can conduct procedures including:

Electrophysiology (EP)

An electrophysiological study is a test used to evaluate and map the electrical activity in your heart. An EP study is sometime recommended in those with heart rhythm problems, such as atrial fibrillation. More than five million people in the United States are living with atrial fibrillation (Afib), which left untreated, can lead to a stroke, heart attack, and other life-threatening complications. Our caring electrophysiology team are the region’s first for heart rhythm management. Utilizing innovative technology with both non-surgical and surgical techniques. Our physicians can effectively diagnose and treat AFib to ensure patients are able to live the healthiest and fulfilling life.

CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Institute for Healthy Living and Cardiac Rehabilitation

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program delivers comprehensive cardiovascular risk reduction services to patients with cardiovascular and peripheral arterial disease. We are certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
