Our cardiologists deliver the highest quality of care. We evaluate children prior to birth via fetal echocardiography, neonates who are born with congenital cardiac abnormalities, as well as patients into adulthood who have a known history of cardiac disease. Our Cardiac Catheterization Lab is designed exclusively for the care of pediatric patients and provides state of the art diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
At the Heart Center, our experienced team of pediatric cardiologists and additional care team members treat patients from before birth to adulthood with congenital or complex heart problems. Dedicated to providing the highest level of heart care in a patient-and-family centered environment, we strive to achieve outstanding results for the patient and family.
We are able to provide diagnostic testing and interventional procedures in our cardiac catherterization lab. Diagnostic catheterization is used to test heart function, and interventional catheterization is used to fix a defect of the heart. Some heart problems that previously required open-heart surgery can now be fixed in the catheterization lab. This provdes a non-surgical and minimally-invasive way to diagnose and treat heart conditions.
We offer non-invasive cardiac imaging including echocardiography and cardiac MRI services for fetal, pediatric, and adult patients with congenital or acquired heart problems. We provide transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, and fetal echo support. Our team of sonographers is specialty trained in pediatric sonography. In an effort to meet the unique needs of children, and provide comfort during cardiac imaging, anesthesia is available.
With specialized training in advanced fetal cardiac imaging, our team’s experience and expertise is applied to the smallest of hearts, those in utero. We provide skilled fetal echocardiography from 18–32 weeks gestation, emphasizing evidence-based and informed counseling of families whose fetus has congenital heart disease.
We offer advanced diagnostic and treatment options for pediatric and adult patients who suffer from abnormal heart rhythms. Our electrophysiologist can perform fluoroscopy-free electrophysiology procedures without compromising the success of the procedure or adding any additional risks to the patient.
Adult Congenital Heart Services
We provide a high level of care for adolescents and adults with congenital heart disease. Our expert team of cardiologists works to ensure that patients with heart problems transitioning into or already in adulthood receive support and resources for long-term management and improved quality of life. We offer treatment options including valve repair or replacement, pulmonary hypertension therapies, and medications to control symptoms. as well as the most advanced procedures including the Melody Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve and Bi-ventricular Pacing.
